After reading how some injector line clamps loosen. I desided to look at mine sure enough #4 clamp was loose. Easy to see by the dull line next the clamp from vibration.

Thanks again TDR

Mine loosened twice on #4. The second time I took the clamp off and noticed that the thin washer dished into the larger hole on the mounting bracket. I used a #10 washer, happened to be from the AN bin at my hdwe. store, thicker stronger looking seems to span the larger hole much better IMHO.

Happy Friday!

The old style clamps use a bolt holding it together. The updated lines use a large " flanged head bolt " with a torx insert. The updated lines are not expensive from Cummins. I changed all six on my engine when I had it out for rebuild. On my 03 # 1 was the only one that didn't change up to a new p/n. Shadrach

This is what I did did also, used a larger washer and loctite.

I had mine loosen up as well only I did not find it until the number 4 line cracked in S. C. not a great way to start a vacation...

05 4x4 quad cab G56 6 speed all stock...

I was wondering if you guys were aware of this problem after seeing it on another forum. Thought it might be a good Idea to bring to the front again for you 3rd gen guys.

One guy on that forum said it cost him $200 smackers@ the dealer for repair.

So check it out. The parts are cheap, DIY, or preventive maintainance.

I had no idea they changed most of them. If I were to update mine, do you think its wise to go ahead and change #1 anyway?
