So I was under the truck earlier this week giving everything a good look over after the trip to the rally.
Low and behold, my passenger side lower intercooler isolator was MIA

I'm at a loss how this could have come apart on its own, they have tabs that lock them in and the brackets are bolted to the frame. The truck does get flexed a fair amount hauling wagons in and out of fields for my cousin during harvest but I'm not sure that could ever cause it. I did buy the truck (gently) used directly from the original owner and it was in every way a garage Queen. No records of prior accidents and while that is a possibility I'd like to think I would have found it sometime in the last 3+ years if it happened prior to my ownership. I do periodic inspections under all of my vehicles checking for leaks, damage, etc. I'm wondering if I didn't just get a crap isolator from the factory and it split in half allowing it to work it's way out.

Either way, might wanna check yours!

Wow, one more thing to add to my Inspection checklist. I installed the Genos radiator and intercooler guards and the front grill quick release on my 2017 Ram 5500 back in 2028, but didn't notice anything.

Let us know if you figure anything out.

Cheers, Ron

I don't know about the isolator but from what I can see of the RV in the background it looks shiney :D. I lost a tabbed bumper cap from the RV on the way to minot, ordered replacement from Amazon. Guess I will have to drill the tabs and put screws in like I did the other side. I guess now the search begins for the isolator, not a common everyday part.

What did you do JR take the truck off road at Ceraland campground? At least you caught this problem! Good luck!

It was great meeting you and your wife at Mikes camper over the rally and I am glad you got home safely.

Yes, the original picture i took had more of the camper in view but the glare was so bad I had to retake the picture from a different angle :Do_O

New isolator is already in, had to go to the local dealership, they're proud of those things. $50
I checked online and they were similarly priced so I just went through the dealership as they could get it in next day.

I think we all were close to doing some off roading that last night! Luckily they had two entrances to the main campground, I didn't see it but was told by another camper the main road was flooded over pretty good. I know early in the night after leaving the front building the water was already a few inches deep, and it rained ALOT more through the night.

It was great meeting you and your wife as well, I keep saying it but there really is a fantastic group of people on this forum. I truly hope RP and family continue to do these rally's for a long time to come.
