Check your pitment arm sector shaft Nut !

I started to notice a vague feeling in my steering wheel. I figured I would install one of those steering box brace kits. I go to install the new extended sector shaft nut and I find the factory nut was loose along with the pitment arm. Thanks Ram for having great quality control. The nut should be torqued to 185 ft lbs as my steering box brace kit stated I was able to remove the factory nut by hand!!! Very scary. New nut tightened up No issues truck drives nice again.

That is pretty unusual for the nut to stay on there 6 years and then come off.

No sir, he is referring to the sector shaft nut on the steering box. The latest recall Im aware of is in regards to the jamb nuts on the adjuster sleeve for the drag link

I have been noticing a bit more slop in the steering wheel. Never thought I'd find that nut just snug. Things are nice and tight feeling now.....

I agree..... however the NUT holding the Steering Pitment arm on should never loosen up! Poor quality control it not getting properly torqued in at the factory.
