Do the bolts really stop anything? Or do they stop the bigger stuff and the little stuff still gets past?

Nick-We haven't had a failure to examine other than Curt Haisley. In his case it was big pieces that the bolts caught. I'm sure there were little pieces, don't know where they ended up, perhaps the cylinders?

The bolts would have stopped this one pound, 100,000 RPM, 1800 degree part from possibly hitting someone or something!

Yes, the trans holds. We used to listen to the vasco input shaft screaming in the powerglide, and I held Dustin ot 30 PSI lauches. Now 50 PSI, and the 47RE just sits there.

Did these turbos have the spec "play" on the shaft bearing? Or were they out of optimum spec, and alittle too loose in the case? Just wonderin... .....
