2001 towing mirrors for sale

New style DC tow mirrors are available as a kit.

Not only that. . but can you give me an idea of where I can get a set of stacks to replace my current exhaust pipe and on the average what they should cost??

Thanks

Kev

JC Whitney has them for $159. 00, but cannot remember if that is for a pair or just one. They are 3 inch in dia. and 50 inches long and mount through the bed with a flange plate, they also have a perferatted heat shield on them.

I forgot to mention that they also have a exhaust cut out you can install to regulate the exhaust between the stacks or your original exhaust or both, If i remember correctly they are around $40. 00.

I've got one 4" stack on my truck. I had my exhaust run out just ahead of my rear wheels before and I thought that it would get even louder being close to the cab. I was wrong I really am happy with the noise level. But if you roll your windows down, loud!!! I still like to open my passenger window a crack though. As for getting the trailer black you might. I tow a 14 ft enclosed cargo trailer and I do get some black on it but I don't pull it every day. My stack is just about 4 inches above the top of the cab. You might go a little taller. And if you use a wind jammer it might help lift the smoke?

I have a 4inch open exhuast, and yeah, it's pretty loud. Am considering a thru-the-bed stack to throw the noise up. My question is: Do any of you running a stack get black crud all over your trailer? If so or not, how tall/short over the top of the roof is your stack?

Back in my younger days, I put a stack on my Isuzu P'up to get the exhaust up and away from us when I was using the truck to run power to the ol' pop-up. It stunk otherwise no matter how I aimed the truck. I had a sharp 180 right behind the stock muffler and up through the bed. It was flat black so as not to draw attention to it like I was trying to fancy up an Isuzu. It worked great except when I cranked it up in the mornings the condensation would blow out and fall all over the truck, my left arm and the ol' lady standing there gettin' a goodbye kiss. Soot on the trailer? That's big-rig character ain't it! #ad
