Who's got the best prices on extended warranties?



I have a 2000 2500 4x4. My mileage is 35k and I want to get a chrysler maximum care wrap around (covers everything that the 5 year 100k engine warr. doesn't) extended warranty before I hit 36K. Who has the best prices for these supplemental policies? The best price from my local dealer is $1600 for a 5 year/100k mile policy/$50 dec. (seems to much).

I just got one through Warrenty Gold. $1000. 00 for 7 yr 100k miles no deductable. I checked them out, how they pay and talked to my dealer to make sure they would have no problems. The company pays all claims w/visa/mc and you don't have to pay first. They have a web site and will have specials. When you contact them don't be too eager. They will call back and offer you all kinds of deals. I got them to take 100. 00 down and 100. 00 a month to pay it off no interest! Way better than a dealer plan.

I was looking around and the Warranty Gold seemed pretty reasonable. If you think about the dealers offer your probably only getting a 2 year 64,000 mile warranty since they usually start with the in-service date and the new warranty is good for 3/36,000.



My neighbor just got burned with his GMC policy because he thought it was a 5 year/60,000 mile policy from the date of purchase but it was written to start on the in-service date. He ended up paying an $800 AC repair bill that should have been covered with a $50 deductible.
