Which style of screw drive do you perfer?

Nudist Camps?

Seems to be a hot topic as urban sprawl eats up the countryside in Indiana.

I used to be adaptable. I could be comfortable downtown, but my recent trip to Seattle told me that I am no longer compatible with the urban ways. :D

Country boy!

Can't stand living in town (tried it).

Too short a fuse for heavy traffic.

I can handle about one visit to Chicago per year.

I love living in the country. After work, I need space, privacy, nature and quiet. :D

is this where you want to live or where you are living?.....

I want to live on my 80 acres in Oklahoma, but since my kids are out on the east coast, I've had to cope with living in this dinky assed apartment right off the interstate..... not my choice in homicides... um mean domiciles at all. Thinking very hard about buying a sail boat big enough to live in out here so I can get away on the weekends...

Country!!

I work in Houston, but I drive 50mi each way.

It's a long drive but certainly worth it. No close neighbors, no solicitors, lower taxes, lower insurance, and lower emission requirements. :D :D :D

I'm out in the boonies where I want to be now. When we first got married, we bought a house in town close to work. The noise, neighbors from hell, etc. drove me nuts. Was lucky enough to be able to sell the house for a slight profit after only being there a year and a half. Since then, 1993, I've been six miles outside of a town with a population of about 250. :D And loving it! Now, if I could find a way to not have to drive the 30 miles in to work...

I hear ya, the weekends can be the difference between sanity and going "postal". ;)

Amen. And lower stress level. :)

Reformed city boy

Use to love big cities, moved out to the country 7 years ago don't want to go back, no more concrete jungles for me!

My commute is only 30 miles but it's over a good sized hill. That hill makes a nice fence especially come winter. I am not that far out but I know I don't get out much when the rare occasion prompts me to go to a mall. I could not stand it if it were not for the scenery walking around in the mall. That's the one drawback to my area, too many "corn eaters".

Joe you forgot to mention the squatters that are trying to grow their crops on your property... How's growing season treating you? Not too long before the CAMP helicopters are out in full force.

well, my privacy fence is starting to tassle. As if I need one, my driveway is only a half mile long.

My commute is so long. By the time I'm out of my driveway, I am half way to work. I work at M&M Farm Supply half mile down the road.

Brian,

No extra crops on my little place. However, there is a lot of chopper traffic during harvest season over the 8000 acres of timberland behind us. I think it disturbs the bears and they start to wander. Stepped in a pile of bear do in front of the garage a while back.

After 30 years of living 15 miles from a town of 1200, I decided I wanted a more urban lifestyle and moved 8 miles from a town of 4000. Still never go to town but a least when I do there's a supermarket, movie theater and more than two restaurants. Have pretty much always only had to walk out the door to be at work, sometimes didn't even need to walk out. I couldn't survive commuting.

yeah, I don't doubt that's what boat stands for... couse everything I own stands for that it seems from bombing the truck to bombing my quad, everything could easily use a grand or more put into it... . and now I'm thnking of buying a jeep.

If I can't take a whiz off the porch, its too crowded!

We can see one house from our place and its our sons about 400 feet away.

I have done cities and don't want to again.

The City Sucks

I live only 25minutes from work but it seems like an hour. :) Things are starting to get to populated for me around here. I'm thinking of moving farther out as soon as the Dodge is payed for.

I can't stand even driving to work half the time:rolleyes: and I work 3rd shift.

I like to go outside and see stars at night not street lights. :p
