I've had them both, started with a Titan V which I was very happy with. The reason I switched to a torklift was so I could install their camper tiedowns as well. I did like the fact that you could have 24, 36, or 41" extension with the Titan, the torklift is only the one size you buy it with. I have several different trailers with various length tongues so I would always use the shortest I could with the Titan. The torklift I bought was 36" seems to work good all around, but it would be nice to have it shorter with some of my trailers. Too expensive to buy another extension in my opinion. The Torklift is quite abit pricier, but it is a stouter unit and rated higher. I pulled a 6,000lb enclosed snowmobile trailer behind my camper with the Titan in some EXTREME crosswinds. I didn't have a weight dist. hitch, but I was using a sway bar. No problems whatsoever. I haven't towed any serious weight with the Torklift yet, I'm sure it will do great.
To sum it up, they are both great units, I think the torklift is ultimately stronger if you need serious capacity but it's quite abit more money than the Titan.
I've got a Titan V hitch with extension for sale if anyone is interested.
