Any one know of some good websites for picking up parts for a classic car. I just picked up a 69 Buick Skylark and am going to need a few parts, Tail light, grill and such.
I'm not sure if this is the correct forum But then if its not some one will let me know :-laf :-laf
I had a '69 Camaro (wish I still did... ) and remember looking at their catalog a lot. I had thoughts of building a complete car with ordered parts from Year One.
I musst be showing my age, when I think of a "classic car" i think of Packards, Model T's, etc. when I read 69 Skylark, I thougth to myself I drove a 69 once and it wasnt that old when i did.

In one of the car clubs I belong to, modern cars begin with model year 1965 and up. The major breaks are pre-war (WWII), post-war, and modern.
But any car prior to the 1972 US emissions requirements fiasco is a classic in my mind. So take your 69 Skylark, do an engine swap, and rebadge it as a Grand Sport muscle car! Even the clones are bring top dollar if done well.
Back when I was a teenager, I bought a used 1970 GS 455 w/Ram Air, Gold Lacquer paint, white interior (hated that), and the factory chrome and black mag wheels. I couldn't afford to keep fuel in the thing as a low paid teen. I still regret letting that car go. It was a torque monster... . hmmm sorta like the cummins but, lighter.
