Yesterday it was slow at the shop so I decided to pull my truck inside and do a little maintenance. I'd read on here about cleaning the IAC and also making sure all the grounds are good(my transmission has been shifting weird). So I pulled the IAC and honestly it didn't look all that dirty but I cleaned it good with brake parts cleaner. I then removed both the small grounds that come off the batteries and run to the body, I used a die grinder to remove the paint under the ground eyelets and then bolted the grounds back up, I did the same thing on the driver side where the ground bolts to the frame. After that I added a tube of Lube Guard(anti-shudder stuff). Anyways, I figured that none of these things would matter much, but I was wrong. The truck accelerates better(smoother) and also shifts better than it ever has. Very simple things to do and cost me a total of $7. 95(for the Lube Guard) and about an hour of my time.
