I am wanting to put the 01 style cab lights on my 96 that does not have any lights currently. I understand that the new lights kit (55077067AA) only come with the lens and gasket. Do I just need to buy the bulbs and run my own wiring. I also am going to need a template. I bought the old style and put those on my 97 a couple of years ago two weeks prior to it being stolen, but threw the template away. Thanks Matt

My wife bought me a set of cab lights for my birthday back in May. She bought them from the local dealer, don't remember the part number of the kit. The kit came with wiring harness and template and bulbs... . everything needed but the courage to drill the holes.

Took a couple of easy hours to do the duty. Looks great. Works great. She won't tell me the cost, but I suspect 70-80 dollars

Are your lights the newer style. The ones they made for my truck were triangular. I want the style like what your 02 would have had out of the factory. It sounds like they now sell a kit for the new style lights if what your wife bought you was the same ones you would have gotten from the factory. Matt

to get the lights that came on the 01-02's you need to order the kit out of the dodge accessory book for the new body style pickups. It will come with a template that will work on your cab but isn't perfect.

For whatever reason, Dodge has this whole thing all messed up. I can imagine how mad someone will be when they order the kit for a new truck and get the lights from the old body style.

Just did this to my truck PM me if you need any more help.
