I was wondering if a 1 3/8" 6spd. clutch out of an 04 truck would work in a 94 5spd. truck if I would use a 6 spd. starter spacer and bolts. I already have a billet input shaft for it. What the deal was that i had a new dual disc clutch for my 04 truck but never got around to installing it and recently sold it and bought a 94 pickup. The plan now is to use the clutch but i heard a rumor that it may not work. I thought that i could if i used the spacer and bolts though. anyone know if it is possible???

What brand clutch is it? If its SBC Peter will swap out flywheels for you, he did so for me when I bought my DD off a guy who had gotten rid of a 04. 5 truck.

You could use the spacer to make it work with the 3rd Gen flywheel, and it would be cheaper than shipping a flywheel. I'd see if I could get correct 2nd Gen flywheel first.

As long as you have the bigger input shaft for the transmission I don't see why it wouldn't work. However that is just speaking from common knowledge that you can do SBC DD's that way, if its a different brand contact that company 1st before taking my word for it.

Yeah it is a south bend clutch. so the flywheels are different. i heard they were but didnt know for sure. Is the ring gear set in a differ. location? I havent measured but i guess the clutch for the 04 is 13" i'm assuming. I guess i will try to trade it out then, thanks for the info. i appreciate it.
