I've started to have harder shifting in my '01 6spd (NV5600) with 120K miles. Specifically, it's hard get get into gear from a stand still. Once moving, shifting is easier. I've got a low mile SBC Con OFE and as fas as I know stock hydraulics. The transmission has had Amsoil in it since I got it (109K), but I'm not sure at all what it had before... . It was full though.
What is the procedure for testing the clutch hydraulics? How much travel should the slave cylinder have under load? Can you measure without removing the slave cylinder? If not, how do you load it when it's removed?
Has anyone had a similar problem that they fixed by installing new or upgraded hydraulics?
I have this same post in the 2nd Gen 24V forum, but I haven't had any replies.
