I have 276,000 miles on my truck and the clutch pedal sags about two inches. Does anyone know if the weight of the sagging pedal will cause the clutch to wear out faster? If so, how can I fix the sagging problem? Thanks
1. The slave cylinder has a spring in it that is pushing the bearing on the spring tips constantly, there is no free play by design.
2. Suggest that you look under the dash and move the pedal up and down a bit to look for pedal cluster, bushing, pushrod wear. Kinda like looking for a worn out tie rod end.
3. Further details, mileage on clutch itself, etc.
