I floored the petal today in 3rd gear. Taking off to get in fast traffic.
The rpms went to 2500 real quick from around 1800 right after I shifted to 3rd.
At first I thought the wheels were spinning on the wet road. But never felt the wheels
grab and the road didn't look wet.
I believe the clutch was slipping. I didn't think there was enough power with the stock
torque plate to slip the clutch. #ad

I slid the plate full foward awhile back. #ad
Is this a common accurance with a stock plate?

I think this is the first time I really drove it hard after slidding plate.

I guess I need to move it back some, what do you guys think here?
You think maybe the clutch is already in bad shape?

Wonder how much power this stock clutch can handle?

I sure would hate too loose my power #ad

I put my truck on a dyno after I slid the stock plate forward and put out 283 horsepower at the rear wheels. That will slip the stock clutch. I've slipped mine a couple of times. Just gonna run this one til it goes and get one of them thar expensive ones. That Sachs is looking pretty good.

283hp !!!
WOW, are you all stock?
I don't know how much I got, but it feels alot more than it did.
I wish the clutch would hold a little better than that.
Haven't tried it pulling the T. T. yet. It will probably slip
there pretty easy too.

If you take it easy, think it will last awhile?

Bad zzman, bad boy, bad!!! #ad

Don't slip that plate forward.
Get a #10 TST for your 215 hp. Put it in stock position and get 345 hp, 860 ft lb more or less. Then slip it forward after you get the HX40 to [partially] control egt until you get an earnest 1300 deg. again #ad
#ad
The custom modified Sachs will hold all that #ad

See, if you have "enough" clutch, obviously you need more hp #ad
Your clutch is obviously "inadequate" and "obsolete. " #ad

Well I'm not a "BOMB-A-HOLIC"[still in denial stage]
So I don't know about all this stuff yet.
I do know I like the power #ad

So the clutch before the power, the stock slid foward is a no no,
the #10 for mucho power, then a clutch and turbo and gauges and slide
plate and tighten then springs[or was it loosen] then upgrade transmission, bigger exhaust,
injectors, fuel pressure, rear end oil, mo power... . #ad

All I've done is slid my stock plate foward.
And now I seem to have problems like the big boys do. #ad

O well, it was fun for awhile #ad

Those numbers were measured in a 215 with 16 cm2 exhaust housing, 3" pipe with Walker 21468 muffler, #10 plate. Changing from stock diff oil to Torco 75-140 syn added 10 hp.
