I currently have a code P014C(O2 sensor Slow Response-Rich to lean Bank 1 Sensor 1) that comes up occasionally. April 2017 while my truck was still under warranty my local dealer "repaired" the same problem that I had at the time but now it's back
with the engine light coming on for a couple of days at a time then clearing then coming back on.
I plan on replacing the sensor but I'm not sure how much that I should spend on it or which brand that I should buy. RockAuto has it anywhere from $42 to $436. and has several different brands to choose from. What brands are good and which ones
shouldn't I bother with? I don't mind spend a couple hundred on it as long as it's worth it.
While we're on the subject I know that there's a service(TSB-25-004-13) bulletin on this. I've read where it calls for the replacement of a section of the wiring harness leading to the O2 sensor because the wiring that was installed at the factory was too
thin. I'm looking at at paperwork from the time that my truck to the dealer in 2017 and I don't see any mention of anything besides them replacing sensor. How do I know if fall under that service bulletin or not?

What year is the truck?

Have you checked with the dealer to see if your emissions warranty is still valid?

Check your truck for a recall to repair that very problem. The o2 sensor itself is rarely the problem.
Unfortunately I don’t remember ever seeing or receiving any notification for recalls on any sensors. I’ve had my truck in for all recalls that I was notified about. I have to look over the service bulletin to see if my truck falls under it. I believe I have to check the numbers/engine code on the engine to see if my engine is one that needs the wiring harness to the sensor replaced
