Your thoughts fellow TDR members. I got the dreaded P0216 code after a fuel filter change and I thought it may just be the priming that it took to get the air out of the system because I did fill the filter canister back up with fresh clean diesel (to save time) after cleaning the canister/replacing the filter. Cleared the codes (also getting P1693) with a handheld scanner assist from the local Auto Zone. Got the P0216 and P1693 again... cleared it. Took a short trip to SC and I have it again. Fuel pressure idle--11. 5-12 psi, at 60-70 mph ranges from 9. 5-8. 75 or so.
Dipricol fuel pressure is tapped off the VP 44 schrader through older (brass cylinder styled) Dipricol isolater and plumbed into my cab fuel pressure gauge (I believe with the use of antifreeze) to keep diesel out of the cab. Purchased the truck with Dipricol Fuel, pyrometer and boost, silencer ring removed, cool down timer, and manual throttle control... . otherwise bone stock.
Extra stock Carter under the seat from Hoesli Diesel.
Trying to figure out which way to go... at present no desires for major horsepower mods like fueling boxes, injectors, etc. Maybe just air intake and exhaust later...
1. Vulcan big line kit (remove banjos) and relocate the lift pump closer to the tank.
2. Carter 7 psi pusher and big line (remove banjos), leave stock lift pump stock location.
3. Air Dog nice but $$
