I was towing aprox 8k on flat ground the other day at 70 mph and out of the blue there was a thud noise which sounded like it came from the transmission. The CEL came on at that time and the P2146 code showed. I turned the edge back to stock and towed 200 miles across a mountain pass with not a problem. The CEL turned off the following day but still showes the code. Does anyone know if this is a common code to be caused by the edge or what may cause this code? I know the code means "Fuel Injector Group 1 Supply Voltage Circuit". Any help would be appreciated.

P2146 and P2149 codes

I have the Edge Juice for the 2004. 5 and have seen the P2146 and P2149 codes a couple of times. Others have mentioned this also. Usually happens with just a bit too much throttle before the engine is fully up to operating temps. Always seems to drive Ok afterwards and I usually clear the codes with a reader before they clear themselves. Just my 2 cents.

One of the times mine set the codes I was passing a slower car. The engine was about 140 degrees and about the time I got beside the car I believe the trans went to shift and bingo the thud or thump and the CEL was on. I was concerned but never figured out what caused the thud. I figured it was a fueling/defueling/shift anomally. Sorry I couldn't be of more help. Maybe someone else will have some input.
