I was going down the road lost TPS and pulled truck over. Shut ignition off but truck is still running. Use scanner to verify that I had no TPS. Someone told me that the injection pump in shorting out. Only happens after you drive it for a hour. Any suggestions what it might be.

If you turned the key off, you have bigger issues than a TPS or VP shorting out. IIRC, Key off should kill all power to everything but the starter, and ECM/PCM.

This is what I found in my 2002 FSM:

P0121=accelerator pedal position sensor signal voltage too low

P0121=throttle position sensor voltage does not agree with MAP sensor

P0122=throttle position sensor voltage too low

P0122=accelerator pedal position sensor signal voltage too low

says all of these should trigger a MIL on the cluster

hope this helps.

So yes

The TPS is the same as the APPS

Call TIMBO His APPS is way beefer and Cheaper than Dodge BY far

Do a search on TIMBO on the Forum

Great Guy to deal with and a great Product

When it won't shut off try pulling the "fuel pump" relay in the relay panel aft of the battery and see if that will shut it off.

Here's the link to Timbo. Home

Works better than OEM, much cheaper. Be sure to use the torch to loosen the idle screw. I didn't at first and broke a torx socket off.
