Trucks throws code P0628 stops running will restart runs about 5 secs. then

quits, let sit for about 3hrs it restarted suggestions for repair.

Need to know the year/make of truck. P0628 is a lift pump code, bad circuit/lift pump.

in fuse box no listing for fuel pump relay THX

Do you have the factory canister Pump?

yes the pump is located right behind the filter cannister

Turn the Key and listen to it run (do not start engine), it should run for 25 seconds,Turn key off wait 3 minutes and do it again, You are trying to find out how long It will run before shutting off,Listen closely, if its humming chances are its good, if buzzing it needs replacement.

My pump was intermittent before it failed. Would do it on the freeway. It would just go dead, then fire back up. It finally did it to where I had to pull over. I cranked it about 5 times before it fired back up. I was able to make it home before it went completely. Truck threw the same code. I replaced it and its been fine ever since. TCDiesel is right on for testing it.
