mod ?

after driving my 3500 megacab for about 6 months now, i am having a hard time justifying doing anything to it. it has been trouble free with the exception of a seat tear. the only thing i am considering is a set of ricksons and some more aggressive tires for the snow.

i would love to be able to smoke the tires, but somehow i believe the computer prevents me from breaking them loose. i know its got the power, but... .

I haven't dug too deep on the new 2010 since I'm only at 3300 miles, but my issue with my previous second gen truck was a terrible seal between the stock assembly's lid (clean side) and the filter's perimeter seal. After a few thousand miles in that truck I saw dirt traces/tracks where dirty air was getting past the stock assembly. I added some filter grease to make that better, but eventually went to a BHAF. Still positioned near the hole by the fender, but I felt that cleaner was more important than hotter. Maybe this tube and some grease is the best combo?

I'm currently running the DPP cool hose (which is black and has an hose attachment) and a drop in AFE dryflow filter. On my 04. 5 I had the Afe stage 2 the aem brute force, and the S&B intake system. I ended up with the S&B with a dryflow filter. I'm not a fan of oiled filters so the dryflow is the way to go IMO.
