As far as the HP numbers they measured around 220 HP or so (uncorrected) on the injectors only (no EZ connected to datalink). The exact opacity numbers were: 28% at 60 mph, 31% at 50 mph, and 29% at 40 mph. This was with a new VP44.
I'm thinking about an adjustable box (TST?), and that will probably drive me to a turbo change. Obviously, more air won't hurt! But, I don't want to cause more problems with additional smoke resulting in an emissions test failure. My thoughts are toward a hybrid turbo that will still spool quickly, but add more air. Gotta love this high altitude balancing act! Any Colorado guys out there have some insight they'd care to share???
Mike, the temp that day was is the low 50's. Certainly not hot! this was on 30 June.
