It sure would be nice if Colo. actually used any of that money to improve their state roads. One would think with all the new people and largely increased tax base they would have 4-laned many of their over-busy 2-laners. Their 4 lane interstates should have been widened 10 years ago when they knew the boom was coming. All that takes is an application for federal funding. Many hoops to jump through, but still should have been done. In Wyo. when a vehicle is purchased, the sales tax is taken care of at the time when plates are purchased. My first round of plates were in the neighborhood of $1600. Next year they dropped to around $200.
