Well the brown truck was nice to me today, the 1st cometic head gasket for the 12v cummins showed up today. doing some testing for them. should be on truck in the week to come. if everthing goes good, should be avalible to the public in 2/3 weeks.

cometic kicks butt! all i use on my bike.

they are constantly trying to figure out a better way to seal stuff up and they truely do listen to racer feedback...

good luck with your project!

Just got off the phone with them and they said they could have one to me in 3-4 days. She said they arent mass producing them yet, but could punch one out. Price was 249. 95.

like i said, they listen to the racers and continually make stuff better

like clutch cover gaskets that are alum in the center with a thin layer of some high tech stuff on either side so that you can use them over and over again and they seal every time

(we are always in the clutch on the bikes) (wet clutch)

only head gaskets i get from them are solid copper but i am sure if they are making them for a cummins it will end up being the industry standard before too long...

Its a Multi Layer Steel gasket. I think it 5 layers of different material.

A guy by the name of Dusty (I think its Dusty Hawk the trans. builder)has been running 70+ pounds of boost through his for awile, with just studs.

I'm kinda wondering when these things will pop. Have heard of them holding some good boost, I want to know about the one that didn't hold the HIGH boost. It would make me feel better about 60 psi, when all the failures have been at 110 psi. I wanna see the limits :D

As far as I know there havent been any failures on a Cummins engine. I heard of a failure on a Dmax by the name on Nastygirl, which is in excess of 1000hp. Cometic takes their time researching and developing their products before releasing to the public.

They also are the supplier to alot of the Nascar and NHRA engine builders.

I needed a new head. Every combustion chamber had cracks in it. I ordered a new Cummins head from Garrett at Pure Diesel Power and he is porting it for me also.

I will post an update when its back up and running.

Cometics rock!!!!

When I had my Blown Mustang drag racer, I ran nothing but Cometics after blowing several other brands under full boost (2bar) in my small block Ford. Never blew a Cometic after switching and running the same combo. They are worth every penny they cost. When I parted out the car, the guy who bought the block rebuilt it and used the same head gasket set in a turbo setup running 30lbs of boost and didn't blow them either. Oo.
