To remedy a potential hazard of some trucks not locking in park when the lever is moved, Chrysler introduced the reverse horn alarm. At over 107K miles, my '06 now sometimes pops into reverse after I shift to park. This typically happens when I'm maneuvering the RV into position and get out to check. As designed, the horn blows, irritating the neighbors and startling the crap out of me.
Is there a remedy for that? Adjustment or parts replacement? Live with it and be more careful?
Many on here have sought ways to disable the reverse horn feature but I'm glad now that I didn't do so despite the noise. At least I don't get away from the truck while it's still rolling backward.
