The one picture looks like a 5.9 by the valve cover, unless they have the ccv relocated for that application.

its a 5.9. in that application the CCV was remotely mounted over by the air filter. you can see it vertically mounted to the left of the air filter housing

I would probably be seeing the milky-white residue (due to the city driving that I do) in my ccv filter or under my valve cover (inside my oil fill cap) if I didn't use synthetics. This symptom has only been observed in engines that run conventional oil and run less than 1000 miles per month.
