Dyno runs are normally made in direct, 1:1 ratio - 5th gear in my case with the 6 speed...
As far as power is concerned, I had 3 runs made, Comp "off", 3x3 and 5x5 - the above sheet was the 5x5, which is why the penciled in 5 can be seen in the comments section.
NOW, for comparison, with the Comp off, I made 204 HP, and 437 torque - keep in mind that even with the Comp off, I still get over 10 psi more boost due to the turbo elbow mod, so corrected #'s would be 256 HP and 546 torque at the flywheel - using the correction factor Ken Imler uses - that's about 10 hp more than Cummins spec for the completely stock engine, and 40 more ft lbs torque - about what is reasonable for the added boost over stock.
SO, I'm seeing at full load, 5x5 on the Comp, 80 more HP and 219 more TQ than with the Comp off, and 111 more hp and nearly *315* more TQ than stock engine rating, at the flywheel...
Now, you can compare and cut that any way ya like - EZ or otherwise - and it's not too shabby! - At least, it was enough to match and exceed ANYTHING the comparable Ford guys showed up with, including one with propane, power chip, injectors, Banks, and substantial intake mods... The '02 Fords there with only chips and injectors were WAY down lower in power than my '02 Dodge - so, I'm not TOO ashamed...
OH - and by the way, with the Comp on 3x3, where I normally keep it set (keep in mind the 50% increase in boost psi even with the Comp off!) - I registered 266. 4 HP and 627 torque at the rear wheels - that's 333 hp and 783. 5 at the flywheel - or, a gain of about 88 hp and 278. 5 ft lbs torque over stock at the flywheel - and THAT, or slightly less, is about what *I* would expect from an EZ on my truck...
In any event, my setup can be run at full throttle up any Sierra grade towing our 5th wheel, never sees EGT above 1200, and even tho I'm getting about 100 more ft lbs torque than what many consider the stock clutch to be good for, have done great so far - don't think I could push things much more without getting things out of "balance" in terms of reliablity - I'm well satisfied with what I've got...
Not bad for a single $600 add-on, especially compared to what the Fords had - to get LESS power to the ground!
