Equivalency?

Blowing past the wastegate

I've been running with mine off - other than not being any fun is it OK to operate with it turned off?

And, can the box itself be unplugged and removed and the truck driven? So "other" drivers don't perform unintentional melt down on your engine? :{ :--)

Many people run "box off". This will not hurt a thing. It may lower your fuel economy as you are not getting any additional timing.

You can unplug the box and remove it. Just be aware the boost fooler will no longer work and you will need to plug your MAP harness back into it's stock location. Also, there will be no buffer for overboost codes and the truck will defuel as in a factory setup.

Thanks. So it best to run at least @ 1-1 for economy - yes? So with the box "out" if someone else was whoppin on it would that throw a code? Could be a built in tattle tale if this is the case?

When I pulled my box out without disconnecting the wire harness connections, my truck was in limp mode.

I run with my box turned off most of the time. I just don't need it for normal cruising around :D

you could also try just unhooking the pump wire and running it n ez mode, just leave it hanging there but if there is any bare wire showing i would put something over to insulate it.
