Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Comp Box Quit

Truck is an 01' 2500 QC 4x4 auto with about 250k on it. Comp box quit working {has been on there since about 02'}. We put an old EZ from another 01' we used to have {EZ worked fine before has been sitting around for about 4 years since we sold off the other truck} truck lost power when we hooked it up. Truck runs fine without a box, only code I could bring up with the key was the famous P1693. Any ideas what it might be? I can see the Comp finaly giving out after all these years but the EZ should still be good.

Check for corrosion at the data port connection, and the wiring harness to see if there is a break or rub through.

My EZ died after about three years and Edge had to replace my Comp Box about three times. Every time the Comp Box died you could floor the truck and it would only pause and not blow even a wisp of smoke.

I sent in my 8yr old Comp box & they sent it back repaired for like 50 bucks ! Best costomer service ever !!!-----Proflow
