No catch,they just figure that their service is so good that after you try it you'll come back for more. I'm not connected with these guys in any way,just received the offer above by email and copied it here.

Sent for the software today. I believe in oil analysis and would like to see what they have to offer. Have you used them?

Notice they mention doing oil analyses for "your plant" (i. e. , chemical plant, refinery, etc. ). That's why they're offering two for free. Anybody actually talk to them about doing this for our trucks?

I just sent in a sample to these folks. I had called them on the phone to ask for the free sample kit. Their representative was very nice on the phone, told me the kit would be on the way the same day, and never asked any questions about me. I mentioned that I belonged to the TDR, though, and he knew about it. So I think they would welcome our business! After all, we're 6000 and growing!

I too contacted Lana Robin at PdMA http://www.pdma.com/oil.html about oil sample's. Lana Robin is sending the FREE #ad
kit and has offered (for folks attending the first Central Florida TDR meeting in Orlando) to send a person to discuss oil analysis and what it can do for a diesel owner. Right now, what a deal. This is my first contact with these folks so we'll see how it turns out.

You're very welcome,I like saving money for the good folks here. Lana Robin posts on the http://www.noria.com/ website message board,sounds like she really knows her stuff,I've seen posts where she specifically answers Cummins oil questions. I was going to try this service about a month ago but forgot till the last dregs were coming out of the pan. I'm sure their service is excellent,the question is price,I'll bet someone could work a GP with them,6000 members could make for lots of business.
I recommend that anyone with oil or analysis questions post them on the noria message board. The response is fast from analysis experts and reps from the major oil companies,including Amsoil. You won't get wrong or hearsay answers there. A lot of the lube questions posted on the TDR are answered over there already by an entirely different set of folks.

Do you know what the price is after the three complimentary tests? I believe Amsoil charges $10.

AMSOIL sample kits are $13. 75, but that includes postage.

I didn't see a price on the PDMA web site.

I'm going to drop my sample off and tour their lab next month. So I will talk to Lana about this very subject. Maybe she will do the GP for us TDR folks. We'll see. Will post result of my visit.
