ROFL. It great to see guys get their panties all knotted up whenever anyone says something negative about the great Dodge CTD!

Consumers Reports cannot help but be biased because they have to make subjective judgements on things like ride quality, etc. If you think like they do, then their reports are great for you. If you don't think like they do, then you have to be more selective about using their data and ignore the subjective parts.

If you look at their site it looks like the 4wds get knocked down the list by driveline problems. Judging by all the front wheel u-joints, ball joints and unit bearings needing replacement, I'd say their ratings are probably pretty accurate.

Don't forget that all vehicles are darn reliable today compared to the past. So even a statistically small number of u-joint failures could really knock a truck down the list.

I'd bet a handfull of grease zerks would've made 'em less costly to maintain and given them a higher rating.

I think you guys are right on the mark.

My guess is that if the ram had topped the list, the guys who are blasting the magazine would be singing its praises. Personally, I don't care where it ended up on the list. When I bought my truck the megacab was the way I wanted to go. Everyone has their own reasons for deciding what truck they want to buy. I have used CR several times in the past to help me make a buying decission. I have never been unhappy with the purchase.
