I only have a regular cab, so in the summer when I go quadding and want to bring more friends along, slap on the tailgate some extra seats that are also comfortable!
All I have to add to TqT's post is Last year was very nice. Between my truck and marks truck and Jims, Matts and on down the line there was meerely atoms between the trucks and all the tailgates were in a perfect line ... . just like a giant buffet of food, fireworks, and umm bar-like materials LOL.
And I have to say that we are prolly THE FIRST GROUP EVER TO SET FIRE TO A FIREMAN! Oo. Oo. Sooo without further adu I think we need one so we can transport Signal73 to the firehouse and flip the gate and GO! ... just like nothing ever happened :-laf
I could us them for when the wife decides to tell me how to drive my truck or fix it. . she will have a place to sit if she doesnt want to walk, she will be known as a tailgate driver:-laf also good for guesstimating the unburned fuel content coming out of the 4" exhaust at takeoff:-laf:-laf:-laf:-laf
Since I injured my back I need support for it when sitting. A TailGator would beat the hell out of trying to sit in a lawn chair on uneven ground while fishing etc.
Well it would be nice for when we go fishing, watching fireworks or just hanging out. But Shh it would be really great when we go camping because the motherinlaw could have her owen private seat on the trip
WoW! now that would be a great addition to my front lawn project. My wife and I live in a great neighborhood and we sit out in the front yard next to a small cast iron stove enjoying this great florida weather. I am getting ready to replace the hood on my 95 with a new cowl inducton hood. I have plans to turn the old hood into the backrest of a lawn chair with a tailgate to sit on. I have some leftover motorcycle fenders that will be the arm rests! I have not figured out what to use for a foot rest but your tailgator will be just great addition to this project!!!
I would want the tailgate seat for several reasons. First, my good friend and I go fishing by the river at his house and we always back up to the river and fish off the tailgate. Second, about once a month a bunch of friends and I go to my friend's dairy and have a bonfire with all the trucks backed up to the fire. Third, at a local rodeo, the trucks can park on a hill and view the rodeo from their tailgates, and it would be realyl nice to have a comfortable tailgate seat.
My wife and I enjoy going to the University of New Mexico Lobo Football game tailgate parties. WOW, would we be the envy of everyone else sitting nice and tall and comfortable on the Tailgator in our big red Dodge.
I would love to have a tailgator so my wife and kids and I had a place to relax as we got ready for dirtbiking, hunting or just sitting around in the boonies or before a ball game.
Oh - and we would be certain to mention to everyone we saw that the kind folks at Geno's and TDR saw fit to gift it to us, and wouldn't it be nice if you paid them a visit and bought one for your truck? If they happen to be driving a Cummins powered vehicle, we'd also flip them the TDR website and encourage them to join. Heck, we do it already, but we'd sure have a lot more incentive if our butts were comfortably tucked into the Tailgator!
Sure would love to have one of them there contraptions. This way when you get up you won't have that dreaded waffle butt and thighs. Just back right up and slide your derriere into position. We sure can use one of them things. Even comes with a place where you can hold your chew and a spittoon to boot. Dang it's like have'n his and her love seat!! Man, just got to have one of them newfangled contraptions. It'd be the talk of the town. :-laf:-laf
In reality I agree with all the other posts, great idea for fishing, hunting, etc. Also would be nice to have this as a place for some one to sit who needs help and during assessments when I am the volunteer medic at cub scout functions and camp outs. It's easy clean up and easy to sanitize. Oo. Oo.
I'd love that thing! The Tailgator would be great to kick back in while we're at the demolition derby waiting for the next round, when I take the Ramcharger to the river bottoms for some off-road fun or waiting to unload the boat. Heck you could hook up a seat heater pad for in the winter when you're out fishing (up north anyway) LOL!

The tailgator would work out great when I tailgate at Tennessee football games. I have been using regular old stadium seats but a friend put the metal clip down on it to hold it to my tailgate and scratched the paint all up, annoyed about that one, so that put an end to that. I'd slap a couple orange T's on the seats so it would blend in with my Volunteers bottle opener hitch cover and big orange T in the back window, I imagine I'd spell it tail gater instead of 'gator' though, reminds me too much of that team in Florida.
Hi there, Hope I'm not to late, I had posted it several days back but don't see it. So I shall enter it again
I think your tailgator would look great on my front lawn. I just got through replacing my hood on my 95 and have plans to turn it into a lawn chair! It will be the back or the chair with two motorcycle fenders as arm rests. I plan to have a tail gate to sit on and I have not quite figured out what to use for a footrest. My neighbors stop over when we sit out front of our house with a cast iron stove glowing red and I am sure they would rather sit on a tailgator then on a cold steel tail gate! Great fun for all. ken
