Convenience group on Laramie.

Is the auto high beam and windshield wiper option on the convenience group worth $340?
It seems everything is being done for us nowadays and takes the human control out.
If my windshield is dirty I prefer to let it get more than a few drops on it so as not to chance rubbing the dry glass.
Anyone with these options, do you prefer them or would rather do it the old manual way?

I prefer manual, I have them but switched it back to manual.

Auto high beams act weird on curved roads, works good if road is perfectly straight though.

Wipers, I don’t like them to come on too early especially with bug guts to smear around. Other gripe is I leave truck running when filling up while towing, you go to wash windshield, damn thing kicks on.

Not a fan.

That’s my opinion.

I like them. The rain sense works really nice for me and the auto dimming brights works good on the farm to market roads here in central Texas.

I have no complaints about them, auto high beams work for me on curvy or straight roads. Truck came with the package on it, otherwise I wouldn't order specifically.

Leon--I have them, but would like to turn the wiper feature off. Where did you go in the menu to do that? Thanks much.

On main screen on center of dash, go to settings, safety and driving assistance, and unselect rain sensing auto wipers.

On my 2017 the wiper switch has the first stop being wipers off the second stop is auto and the others are just like any other wiper switch. I don’t think it’s necessary to go into the Uconnect screen to disable unless you never want the autosense to be used. I only turn mine off every once in a while such as going through car washes and I just rotate the wiper switch in those cases.

If you have $340 burning a hole in your pocket you could buy a subscription to TDR for 9 of your friends and have almost enough money left over for yours.

My subscription just came up so make that 8 friends and me.

Personally, I would prefer to dim my own headlights with a switch on the floor.
