My ED was dropped off to get coolant line repaired in February. Mechanic was waiting on intake gasket forever. Finally arrived so he went to repair my truck and the turbo was the coolant leak… $6500 later its back on the road. A/C is new style so that was a pain to find someone to recharge as cab had to be lifted and he didn’t have new refrigerant machine. My coolant line to turbo was fine. I changed it anyhow to Dorman part. 228,000kms on my truck now. I didn’t have my truck for seven months. Put a lot of miles on our Jeep CRD. If a person needed a vehicle for work and didn’t have a backup you would be forced to buy a new vehicle nowadays to keep on the road. Not sure what I should do with my ED drive the wheels off of it or part ways with it…

Lucky for me, I got my 2020 EcoD for a great deal. If I was in a situation like yours, it might be an automatic upgrade to something else. Though, I do have other vehicles.

However, I recently ran into a problem with a 2022 work Cummins truck that sat at the dealer for close to 6 months to replace the camshaft and some other stuff. So... I don't know.

I hear those Gen2 engines are on back order till November 2022. Lots of people waiting on them.

I've been driving a 2020 3500 Cummins for the past few weeks, and it's got 190k miles on it, and stilll trucking along. Although, the seat is in need of replacement from my "heavier" coworkers. But that's not my problem. lol
