Cooling fan info wanted..

The Horton clutch fan (an EC450) in my '99 has started going south (with the resultant cooling issues) Good fan, just can't get parts any longer (installed in '01). Am now looking for a new cooling fan setup including reinstalling the stock parts. Anyone out there have any suggestions as to what to look at? Truck is pretty much stock, a daily driver that pulls a 7000# TT occasionally. Temps here are starting to climb and so is the operating temp of the truck.



Any suggestions are welcome.

I have that same fan. . what is happening to it? . . mine is not as old but I tow a 15K trailer...



I don't know if I saw it in a diesel mag or the TDR mag but I think there is a Dual electric fan for our trucks. do a search on the net in that regaurd and see what you come up with... otherwise the stock fan will have to go back on.

Actually, yeah there is a dual electric fan that replaces the clutch fan on our trucks. I even thing summit racing might carry the one for our trucks. There is also a thread somewhere here that talks about this setup, just do some searching, and you will find it. I will look for it again and post the info where to read up on it.

The dual fan setup is made by flex-a-lite.
