I have a 2012 Longhorn that has heated and cooling front seats. The drivers seat switch indicates it’s on, but doesn’t seem to cool. Upon checking to owners manual the fuze chart doesn’t list the cooling portion of the seat. Not even which fuze to check. If someone has any experience with this I would appreciate it.
I’m not very well versed with a multi meter, so keep it real simple!
Thanks in advance,
Don

hi there, the seats only draw air through them from the cabin. So of the AC isn’t on cooling the truck you won’t notice the effect much.

When on high I can hear my cooling seats. You should be able to hear a small fan motor running when the cooling seat option is on.

I can hear the fan on the passenger side (when I have my hearing aides in) but not the one on driver side.

Don,

Take a sheet of regular paper, turn on your cooling seats to the high or low position. If they're running the sheet of paper will stick to the seatback. When you turn them off the sheet of paper will fall to the seat cushion. Give it a try, it's a quick visual check. For what its worth I can't hear my fans when they're on either, but they work.

Mine work and are virtually silent, but I would gladly trade them out with fans with twice the power even if they made a little bit of noise. The cooled seat is a great concept, just wish the effect was greater.
