I'm helping a friend troubleshoot a problem with his 2001 Diesel 5 speed. It stopped dead on him 1/2 mile from home and would not re-start. He called me last night with the codes: P1693, P1694, P1687. I looked them up in my repair manual and it looks like a communication problem or a bad module of some sort, (ECM?). We are reading up on things(here at work) and will start looking for the problem this evening. Are there any ideas from our support on the TDR that may lead to a fast, easy and not too costly repair. We beleve that a plug may have come loose and are starting at this point.

Thanks ahead, David
