That is exactly what it is and my impression was it is a quality piece when i inspected it.
Good to hear you got some good service out of it. Thanks!

if it has qaulity bearing and seal you might be fine. the house brand pumps at auto part stores are complete crap . 30k and the bearing falls out in pieces

It has no weep hole just the weep hole in the back. Looks like i got a bad pump from dodge. Great!. Has a OReilly special on it now with a Lifetime Waranty. LOL

So you could make a claim under the FCA recall as you appear to have a recalled replacement pump. Get a new non-recalled pump (and other broken parts from it's failure) at the least.

My water pump bearing failed, melted and heated up the shaft enough to twist off the pulley. Didn't leak a drop of coolant before or after the failure or give any sign there was a problem.
enjoy.
Had the same failure on my 2011@77000km this past winter. Didn’t twist off pulley, or leak, but it got hot enough to create a fair amount of smoke. My wife was driving at the time, luckily a short distance from home.

If my memory is still intact that failed pump looks very much like the Bad Batch that was recalled. My guess is someone had some old stock kicking around and they never checked to see if they were the Bad pumps.
