Earlier I had found that my cruise control didn't work work, after checking some wires i found that the clock spring below the steering wheel that lets the cruise wires turn with the wheel eas broke inside and not makeing contact. Now there is a big red sticker on the part that sayes not services able do not open. so i called the dearler and found a new coast $200, so i opened the old one up and what do you know its not that hard to fix. When clock springs go bad all that happens is that the wires inside brake off the base so all you have to do is soder the wires back on. You can take the wheel off fix the spring and put it all back inabout an hour and a half.

You were luckier than me. Mine broke in the middle of the strip. I worked on it for about 4 hours, then noticed I had a second break as well. I had already bought a new one and installed it, and was trying to build a spare, so it ended up in the trash.

Other than the buttons on your steering wheel not makeing it work , you could go find a after market handle from like JC whitney and just hook it up and youd be working , i disconnected my cruise because it pulsated and messed with the idel etc

That sounds like that was just bad luck haveing one brake in two places like that i have repaired two clock springs now and both were broke right at the base.
