You might want to take a quick peek and make sure there arent any obvious vaccum leaks, if that were the problem I would imagine the HVAC would operate slow when changing air control modes. sometimes the vac lines crack or damaged.

Where was the leak? My cruise has not worked correct in about 3 years. Dealer guessed and quoted me 1k to fix. Decided to pass on their offer. I thought I found a leak under the drivers side battery, but that didn't fix it.

hi

found the leak and replaced the vac line that goes across front of truck by the firer wall and in 2 years from know im going to replace all vac lines

Does the air control work normal? the selector for panel/defrost/floor & recirc is vac operated... if it is operating slow or not at all I would suspect vac problem... could also be the vac. pump itself, in which case it isnt too bad to rebuild yourself, just kind of a pain to R&R.
the lines get really brittle after not that long, had problems with them cracking when pushed out of the way.
