News on the truck

Just got a call from the shop that's working on my truck, anyone know where I can find a transmission (NV4500) apparently mine ate the input shaft :{

Man how did that happen? You can get a HD imput shaft, but then I dont know if you will be able to use the clutch you just bought...

Standard Transmission, Or bluementhal's are talked about frequently on here for rebuilds. They adversise in TDR magazine.



For a local source get in touch with TnLracing, may have someone in mind.



I dont know mark, I *believe* I can handle most of it, the engine jack is the thing I am most unfamiliar with, but can probably figure it out if I look at it. what did you use to hook it up to your head? Chains?



I wont be there this fri, will try to figure a way so its not in the way if anyone else is going to be there.

Engine hoist... easy... I think the chain is on the 318 in the bed of the Ford.

Being a 12 valve, it should only take 1/2 the time to remove... :-laf

man o man we need to make room so much work. we should blow a hole in the wall for some a/c and we bees all set. . grandmom got me my kore supspenion 5in lift. mom dad got cowl hood and my clear lights. i was like freaking sweet :--) now it time for trans then put stuff on strobes, sweet tires. im def thinkin more stock look with an attude

Something about a lack of lubricant, I've never checked it, it wasn't making noise, but oh well, hind sight is always 20/20, I'm just not sure how long it had gone, I've had the truck for almost a year and REALLY glad it didn't happen on my way here with my trailer!
