Todays words of wisdom:

Ya know, when a man works hard his entire life enduring hundreds of ladies, many of whom he does not even remember you'd like to think that at the end of the day he will be given a lot of money, without having had to earn it.

Guess what poet wrote this and I will give you a prize :)

Well, the hood people called and said they can't paint a hood and ship it to me. So, I cancelled that, and ordered a Scheid cam and a Fluidampr. Guess I'd better get in touch with some of my friends at Boeing soon to start designing wings.

Odd not seeing the Moose last night. Must've had a date or something. :-laf I didn't hear any more exhaust leaks driving home. Seems like the new turbo made the smoke go away. I get to about 12 pounds of boost and I can get to 35 or so pounds from there almost instantly. The EGT seems to be reading higher than it was. I sort of expected the opposite. But lots of things are different, so who knows if they really are higher. Since the turbo is a 2 hour task and it took me 9 hours, I guess I should just take a whole day off to do the pump? :eek: I got home at about 10:30. Betsey still hadn't had dinner, so we had a big plate of midnight spaghetti snack. Thanks very much again Signal73 for all your help. I am truly grateful. I probably wouldn't be done yet without your assistance. :D

EGT's will run a bit higher, now you need more fuel to bring the spool-up a little sooner and be able to drop the temps... It's a never ending circle... :)

Sorry I didn't make it up last night, we got a new TV and been trying to figure out all the wiring... DVI, HDMI, Composite, Componet, S-Video... Makes your head spin.

The other thing is the price of these freakin things... :(

TV... 32" LCD HD
Cables to hook up the cable box, tv, dvd, vcr, surround... will cost just about as much as the TV... :{

There's a nice long rise in the Merritt on the way home from work. There was a little traffic, so I couldn't go too crazy. I moved over into the left lane and rolled on the coals. Boost went from around 15 pounds up to 40 in the blink of an eye. No smoke. I let off so quick the turbo huffed at me. I had visions of head gasket replacement flash through my brain. I don't know how high it would go if I just let it. I didn't even really look at EGT, but I have seen the other side of 1000 since last night.

Pump time!

I'm thinking about doing my pump Friday starting during the day (probably into the night knowing me). Should I put the truck in Jim's parking spot so I'm out of the way? Is the gear puller at the shop now? I thought I saw it last Friday.
