You could make the drive to Valdez in a day. Just spend an extra day there though. Valdez is beautiful. By the way, it is pronounced "Valdeez" with long e. A campground is located right on the bay.



I do have another consideration though; drive to Whittier or Seward and take the Alaska Ferry to Valdez. The trip through Prince William Sound is incredible.

Marty your posted itinerary sounds great, I did not realize that the trip to the arctic an Prudhoe would take that long I guess I,m spoiled by our southern interstates an mile a minute travel. Thanks again for doing all the research for our group. Jerry

I would love to accommodate your group at our RV Park. We do still have 10
openings on June 30th. If you guarantee 10 people booking in at the park
then we can give you a rate of $21. 75/night (cash) based on 2 people / RV.
This includes free satellite TV at most sites. We also have a Laundromat,

This could become awkward for us Marty. If, as usual, Murphy's rule applies and only half as many show up, somebody is going to be shorted. Is the "deal" worth the gamble?

I think we should fend for ourselves and make our own reservations. You have been too kind to us already.

I have a message into her on what it would costs should we not get 10. I am guessing it will only be a few dollars more. Everybody would have to make their own reservation again however, if we had 10, they would just say the group they were in and they would get the lower rate.

Just talked to Kathy and made a reservation for myself. The full rate is $24 CDN with $1 off for cash (with water and electric hookups. ) She put me down for the discount rate with the understanding that I would pay the extra couple of bucks if we don't get 10 people.

She took my credit card # for reservation only for moi. No hassle.

Her web site shows big rigs, so Harvey and the other big boys should be accommodated with no problems.

It varies Harvey. Going back and looking at those who have shown interest, we have about 10. I don't hear from too many but I think we will end with 5.

Dawson creek park

Hi all got our reservation at Northern llights rarin to go almost, had a little glitch, took truck to get pac-brake installed got it done no problem, technician took truck for ride backed into parked semi, knocked lights, handle misc. small damage. getting it fixed next week. pac-brake works fine!!! Well I am definitely in at least for the early part of the excursion. Made reservation with Northern Lights for June 30th, so wife and I and dog will be there. Can't do the trip to Deadhorse, so will head south to Denali, Anchorage and Valdez before retuning to the lower 48. Hope to see you all there, really looking forward to it.

Hello Marty and all others heading north,



Sounds as if all of you are having a grand time getting all your plans together, and by the looks of it you are doing quite well.



If your travels should take you south of Anchorage, and they should, be sure to stop by in Girdwood. About 35 miles south of Anch. Alyeska Resort is located in Gwood. It is the premier ski resort in Alaska... If you don't count every other mountain around that is just as good. There is an aerial tramway that will take you up 2000 vertical feet for the perfect view of Turnigan arm. If anyone is interested I run two ski shops there in the winter and I have access to beyond discount pricing for groups.



I also manage the Pro shop at Anchorage Golf Course if anyone feels the need to tee it up at 5AM or play till 2AM. If you are a golfer AGC or most any other course in Alaska is a must!
