The size of that rod bearing is just amazing. Makes you wonder just how big the mains are. Not sure what it is out of, but they had a bunch of Cat parts so it could be from one of their engines.

i doubt it... if you look closely at how the cap bolts are splayed into the rod, the rod with the cap removed will fit through the bore... i don't recall seeing an engine bottom end with that cap/rod arrangement though so i can't guess as to what the engine it came out of was

Also unless that guy is a midget - look at the hand and it appears as though that piston is at least 6" ... ... ... ... ... maybe it's an In-Line 2 - Meant for a Honda Civic!!!!!!!

looks like a piston and rod out of a 3412 cat 992D loader engine

I don't think that is out of a 5. 9/6. 7, I was lead to believe they used the cracked cap technology and that rod does not.
