Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Cummins Chrome Engine Pieces

For anyone who might be interested;



I was at Cummins NW and asked about the 12 valve chrome kits that were once available.



They apparently no longer sell the parts in kit form but do list the individual elements seperately and will sell them that way as:



Valve Cover kit ... ... ... . $150. 68

air Intake kit... ... ... ... ... . 148. 89

Heater Tube kit... ... ... ..... 34. 96

alternator kit... ... ... ... ... ... 45. 73



Quite a bit more than the $111. 00 for all that I had heard some time ago but still there. I didn't ask about the part numbers.

I think that's the way Cummins has always sold them. Geno's used to sell the whole works as a kit, but they gave that up because the back order situation got so bad. I ordered a kit from Geno's a few years ago. It was back ordered with no idea when it would be in. I checked with Cummins in West Sacramento about it with the intention of buying it if they had the parts. Same story. Price about the same as Geno's and a waiting list on the back orders. My order from Geno's was finally filled. Robin told me that was it. No more messing with the chrome kit. Those prices look about the same as I paid. It was supposed to be a Chrismas Gift from my wife. Turned out to be a belated birthday gift.
