I never went through the fat chicks or moped stage:-laf, and I have yet to drive a Ford diesel that is impressive. None of them have any nuts below 2500rpm. Ok, I was impressed with the MPGs of a 96 4x4 crew cab that the rodeo team took to AL. Pulling a 24ft steel horse trailer, averaged around 18mpg at 75+.

i tell ya what pete... if ther is an award you get it :D i gotta ask tho... fat chicks? i think this needs some explanation.

Daniel - I agree, and let me clarify here, i was impressed with it because it was a ford. ive driven cummins that could make that stroke look like a poorly groomed poodle. if you catch my drift. but seeing as how it was a ford, i was impressed with its ability. i drive a roleback F550 6. 0 for work sometimes. talk about not haveing nutz! you put a tractor on that baby you gotta hit the tow/haul and floorboard the POS to get it to move. :-laf ive been very dissapointed with that things power. ive climbed one of the mountain passes around here with it loaded running about oh 3400-3600 rpms and it was just a gutless as ever. then i get im my cummins to drive home and am amazed when i can pin myself to the seat on the on-ramp at 1800rpms :D

You might be a redneck if your girlfriend is bigger than your pickup, right?

As far as the BS goes... . I mean PS... (or the other motor with 2 too many cylinders for that matter) I guess all I have to say is you don't see anyone swapping powerstrokes into Dodges or chebbies, but I've seen a few Cummins in chebbies, and way too many Cummins in fords. I just think of all the poor Dodges that suffered for these fords to get a real motor. I guess if you buy a real truck, it comes with a real motor from the factory. PS... PowerStroke... PlaySchool?

Jimmy, something to remember if you're lonely. Some chicks are easier to get dates with than others, and they are willing to show their appreciation. ;)

matt - very true about the whole cummins swaps vs. the other competitiors. and yes, those poor poor dodges that were stripped of their dignity. as far as real trucks coming from the factory with real motors... couldt agree more. :D

pete - ya no, i think id rather just wait! :-laf i think i now understand your mindset much better though :-laf:-laf:-laf oh pete, what to do with you :D

As an unfortunate one who has totaled a '89 CTD, and having help strip of wrecks of their CTD's, What better way to live on, as a re-power? In my case if my uncle had not sold his '93 ID Ferd Crewcab before I had wiped out my 1st Gen, I'd would have bought his truck and swapped in my 89 Cummins (It would then be a Cummings in a Ford:eek:?) I would have some more rear seat leg room. :D Moosed

The best ones, pete, are the ones that are harder to get dates with, but still show their appreciation should you happen to find yourself in their good graces... its kinda like having access to the VIP room. Hard to get in, but once you got your card you can sit on that couch any day of the week.

What's marriage have to do with it?

I like your thinking, Tippin. Normally those are the ones you arent afraid to tell your friends about, either. :-laf

If you aint datin' her, it aint cheatin'...

Nah, I'm really not that much of a jerk. I would never cheat on a girl. I tend to be somewhat old fashioned when it comes to relationships, believe it or not... I mean, other than the no play before marriage deal... you're a saint if you can hold out that long.

Eatin' ain't cheatin'! :D

We probably oughtta gret back to the purpose of the thread huh? We have 2 of them so far astray it isn't funny. ;)

Well, actually, it is! :-laf:-laf
