Has anyone who filled out the online Cummins survey, gotten a response or got their cab plate yet? I thought when I filled it out it said I would get a reply via e-mail but have never recieved anything from them yet, that was about a month ago.

i tried to do the survey last night..... clicked submit & it just sat there..... not sure if it went through..... i will try again today.

I did the survey as well, got a message after submitting thanking me for taking the survey. That was about a week ago. No cab plate yet, but that wasn't why I did it anyway.

There are certain deficiencies in the design that I wanted to point out, specifically the lift pump and it's failure rate. I'd still buy another Cummins powered Dodge over any of the other brands as things are right now.

I used to do market research and have designed a few surveys over the years.

Given the blatant bias of the resondent population and the types of questions they asked, there can only be one purpose for this survey. They will use the results when negotiating their next contract with DC to keep the Cummins in the Ram. My guess is that they are worried that DC will favor a DC manufactured motor. They want to show DC that the Cummins promotes brand loyalty.

If Cummins wanted to use the results for their own product development research they need to reword most of the survey and expand their respondent population to the general public (telephone or mailed survey).

Tbone, I agree with you wholeheartedly now that you've pointed that out. I didn't really look at it that way when I took the survey. I will say this though... my current truck would not necessarily have been a Dodge if they didn't offer the Cummins, which I consider the best diesel currently on the market in the level of truck I need (2500 series). Nothing wrong with a Benz diesel, mind you, but I LIKE MY CUMMINS!

Oh well, maybe the NHTSA route will work for the lift pump failures.

Still no cab plate either.

I filled out the survey at least 3 weeks ago, maybe longer. No reply, no plate. I do hope that DC keeps the Cummins though. I don't have any faith to Dodge pickups(not that I think they're bad), but I do have faith to the Cummins in it.

I just saw it now that there is a link here. Of course, I can't find the survey on the Cummins site. I wanted to give them the mechanical engineer's point of view (and maybe win the jacket!).

survey

I just filled the Cummins survey out, and it was accepted OK (no verification, just sent me to a page with "DODGE RAM- Sign up for Cummins Turbodiesel News". I guess we'll see what happens.

I like quiestion 16. .

"If the Dodge Ram did not offer a Cummins diesel engine option, what is the likelihood that you would have bought the truck?"

My answer:

"Definitely would not have bought".
