We have found that too much fluid will not drop the temp any more than just the right amount on increase. Two quarts seems to be the amount that gets you the drop in fluid temps just like the ones that add 6-8 quarts. The PML pans get you the two quarts and save you a lot of money on costs too. Plus they are not powder coated, it's a very good insulator and you want to get the heat out not hold it in when you pay for an increased capacity pan. The PML pans are clear anodized to look good but really throw the heat off. As a general rule we see 20-30 degrees temp drop with a PML pan.
