Increased capacity = better/more fluid exchange = increased cooling. Go the DD for the extra $ your trans & TC will thank you. MHO

I agree with the transmission pans. Some feel that some is good, more must be better. I can honestly say that I have not had any negative impact with the single deep and what was recommended in my application.

I've got a MagHytec single deep pan and have never had any problems. Plus, I change my fluid myself, and another few pounds of pan would be more difficult to manage... while on my back on the freakin' concrete!

No kidding!

I had a double deep Mag Hytech pan installed over a year ago to reduce trans temps and imho it wasn't worth the expense. I am now looking at adding an auxillary cooler under the bed with either a switch or temp. operated fan to control overheating.

So, more fluid to move through whatever cooling system you have = no increased cooling ? ? ? Don't think so. Why not stay with the stock pan then . . .

I got the DD pan since it wasn't that much more. Mag-hytec is only a little ways down the road from me. Hopefully I will get it installed tomorrow. I have to finish the edm injectors first. I'm going to Reno on Monday (450mi) so I'll be watching the transmission temps...
