Tacoma dyno confirmation for Feb

Yep, it was a great time. The stock clutch held a best of 334/821. (Must be running out of fuel on the top end) No Drugs.

Thanks a bunch to Don for setting this thing up and to the guys at Speedworks. Thave have a class act over there.

What a turn out we ended up having. We did a total of 29 trucks and 1 car.

Top dog is Cord Reynolds at 483HP. I forgot the torque. Close to a grand. With a little drugs he went 523HP. Not too shabby at all.

I did a very disapointing 400HP and 800 torque. You could have knocked me over with a feather when I saw the numbers. Oh well back to the drawing board.

Not sure where it all went wrong. Better days ahead!

after it was all said in done I cant say I have ever had a better dyno event. When I pulled up this morning and saw all the trucks I was surprised. Thanks to all the guys who drove from afar.

There were some Fords that deserve mention as well. Couple over 400 and one that went 480. Dern hard pill to swallow knowing a ford beat me today.

Don~

This being my first meeting and all, I had a blast. Thanks to everyone who set it up! It was great to meet some of you for the first time.

Guess I'll have to get busy on my mods. My little 317/784 truck seems kind of scrawny next to all the others :(. Don, I loved the smoke show your truck made .

A great day at the dyno. A big thank you to Don and the folks at Speedworks. It was a lot of fun especially after the truck got to working right. A BIGGG thank you to Don for the parts and Cord Reynolds for the dedication it took to work the kinks out of the guv spring install also to JFulmer for the parts ( I am pretty sure it was him, got to meet so many nice folks I cant keep the names straight) and the help on the pump these guys spent the better part of the day making sure my truck ran and boy did it. 389. 3hp 880 Torque. Great Day

John

John

That's what parts are for to fix stuff, no big deal! I have trouble with names mixed with logins too so no one take offence, great time as posted before.

Jim

I had a great time there too. It was fun to finally put faces with TDR userids and just to each others trucks. Don, thanks for putting this together. Great folks at Speedworks. My truck did

276. 7 HP and 636. 5 torque in 6th gear. I had lower numbers when they pulled in 5th gear. Can't wait for the next dyno days... .

Charles

Cool day!

WOW:eek:

This all started when I asked if there was a dyno in the DFW area! 90 dyno runs later, I'm still smilling. Thanks to Don for hooking us up with Speedworks, let make this an annual event.

Now that I know what my truck does(not much 202/489 with PE Comp on 3/3, 172 wth the box off:( ) time to spend some real money and try to get 350 next time!(I'll dream of 400 for now, dream)

If you guys are up for it, I'm willing to help plan it, get some vendors involved and maybe food and stuff in the parking lot during the runs, what you guys think?

Hope everybody made it home OK, glad to finally meet a bunch of you wish I couls say ALL of you but there is always next time.

Glenn

Andrew: just do it man, that way you can REALLY stomp my ***(not that it's hard!);) :p

Glenn,

You got to remember that I started out with more from the factory then you. Great job getting this together with Don

I had a great time, I'll get working on the pics tommorw after I drive back to school. I looked at my shirt after I was standing behind Cord's truck getting the soot pics, and my shirt had soot all over it, I blow my nose right after I left, and soot was in my nose too.

My numbers? Uncorrected 200hp even, and 398ft-lbs. With the COMP with a "loose (pump) wire" 238hp, and 533ft-lbs. These numbers are only with 20# of boost. Might not be that powerfull, but you got to admit that it does sound sweet when it sounds like a plane taking off! :D

Andrew

(Loose Wire)

AWESOM DAY

It was a great day in Lewisville on Sat. thanks to Don and Speedworks. They worked their butts off on this.

I've come to the conclusion that my TST PM3 set on 9 pulled some respectable numbers considering I have no other mods.

324HP/798TRQ.

After talking to Don I think I've decided to go to DDIII's after I get my fuel gauges and check pressures. I know I'm going to have EGT problems and will need some advice on what turbo setup to go to. I'm going to be putting on an exhaust system to help with that. It was good to meet you all. Just wish I knew who was who!:D

TX Diesel Kid (Glenn)

GGGGGGLLLLLEEEENNNNNNNNN... ... ... ... ... ... . Hook up the WIRE! Just kiddin do what you want to, nice to see you'll come up and see someone with some power control, also nice to see the little lady come up with you, must have been hard on her around that much testosterone(sp. . ) tell her I sad it shows alot to be one of what 3 gals there. Thanks also for the laughs while working on Dezzul 1's truck.

Jim

Glen = BFC....?

Jim I don't want to be my own warrenty station yet so the wire stays off. :p As for my girl, she says she had fun, I know it was just becasue it was the first time we have seen each other in 2 weeks because she is from Plano, and I'm from Houston.

Andrew

Wish I could have made it!! I had a wedding to go to though. Count me in next time!! I hope to have some injectors here before to long.

Don, I guess you will have to come to KC to try and better your numbers :D

Clark

Hey clark

I just wanted to rub it in that you missed a great event, I have seen alot and want more, the day was great, talked alot with inarush76(James) about trannies(tell your buddies I'll have mine done soon then I'll come up to tulsa for test drives for them) I had a great trip even played a little(I-35 at 9:00am) flying past a PSD at 100(eatem' up) Worked a little with cumminsgetme on Duzzel 1's truck and learned alot from him and Strickt-9(Chris) about the pumps, these are great people(like at the races in Tulsa) and will show you alot of what is going on. I will go to tell you I rode in several trucks(HAWG, Deezul 1, and Cumminsget me) Cord (Cummins) truck is flat awsome, going throught the gears it flat flyies... most pulling power of anything as of yet) we turned around on Hwy 121 and laid in it till ... ... . MPH and had a HUGE cloud of smoke covering the hole road like dream, we then passed the turn off then covered a car in smoke(they nose dove the car)... ... LMFAO! This what it is all about, Man you cannot imagine the power during the gear changes, it makes you want to throw rocks at your truck, the power potintial is unreal. We'll get together soon for the DTT test.

Your buddy, Jim

Clark, I will try and make it up for the day if I can. I gotta get to work to make some money first.

Don~

if I do make it... tell 'em He!! is coming with me.

Great day

It was good to meet some of you at Speedworks. Can't keep all the names straight, but thats ok. Great bunch!! Hope to be seeing you in the future. Could not stay to run on the dyno. Maybe I'll drop by next week and give it a run. You guys could get my check book in trouble. My wife asked if I got any ideas :D

Now she is interested   :D :D :D (smoke control, the more the better)

Thanks again for setting this up.

Later,

Jeff

Unfortunately I need to correct Don on the #2 HP. SAE #2 HP was a disappointing 455. 6 (considering I went 446

with a small pump) and with a little LPG 524. 2. I would love to post the actual HP (which is higher) and take that

as factual, however, that’s not comparing apples to apples. I am still learning a lot about dyno’s and plan to dyno

again this week in Houston (still a dyno jet) so I can compare b/w the two and hopefully draw a conclusion to their

accuracy. It’s aggravating to make pump adjustments that physically feel stronger, then find out that your down on

HP. I’ve got to congratulate the Power Strokes, they were real strong. I know the red stroke was running LPG and

some one commented about smelling alcohol but regardless it was the strongest stroke I’ve seen. I couldn’t believe

the turnout, 29 trucks is great. For me the highlight of the day was seeing Deezul 1 light out in a big cloud of

smoke then bark the tires. When John and Jim returned from their test run it was a big thumbs up!! Thanks to

everyone for the nice comments on my truck.

-Cord

Jfulmer a buddy of mine has a truck that put down 445hp 1080ft lbs. They are a blast to drive, I have managed a best of 14. 43 in his truck and I think he got a 14. 35 out of it. They are fun but I must keep focused on my car lol :D.

You should come up for the KC dyno event on the 27th. There will be four Tulsa TDR guys going but only two with trucks dynoing. Mine is week so its staying home. . so is Wades :D

Don, you must come to KC to defend your improperly valved but properly pumped truck on the dyno :D. Hiperf360s Electron clad truck put down 409 on #2 with a stock turbo

#ad

lol

I had a great time meeting everyone at the dyno day. Thanks to the guys who put it together. Even though I didn't run my truck; still stock and only 500 miles, thanks to all the guys who keep answering my newbie questions all day long and never got mad about it. :)
