Had the same problem on my 98. 5. Adjusted the rear brakes a few days ago and it really helped. I still believe one side of the front is applying more pressure to the pads because the right side always has more brake dust on the wheel and wears the pads out first. Thought about replacing the hoses and calipers but haven't done so yet. If anyone solves this, please post the fix. Thanks, Kenny

Check your rear brakes, you could have a seal leaking oil on the shoes, or it could be as simple as adjusting the rear brakes so they brake equally. Good luck.
